How to Look and Feel Young

Changes on our skin are the first signs of aging. Fine lines, loose skin and redness are just some of the problems I’ve faced in the past couple of years, which made me realize that, now, I’ll need to take far better care of my skin than I used to. Moisturizing treatments, massages, healthy diet and a bit of help from cosmetic surgeons are enough to keep me looking and feeling youthful all year long.

Moisturize

I have very dry skin, so moisturizing is imperative for me. Not only does the constant use of body lotions and creams make my skin hydrated, but it’s also glowing, and looks plump and youthful. The more radiant my skin is the fresher I look. Therefore, I use plenty of body lotions and creams and apply them on my entire body. After every shower, I applyplenty of moisturizing body lotion on my arms and legs, and I love using masks and creams on my face. Hand creams are another necessity I couldn’t live without, and they make my hands soft and feminine, and the skin firm and glowing. Foot scrubs, masks and creams are also very important, as I try to keep my feet hydrated and smooth.

Exfoliate

Exfoliation is one of the most important steps in skincare. If you don’t remove dead skin cells, your new, young skin won’t be able to get all the important nutrients. This is what I’ve learned in the previous years of my skincare routine, so I try to exfoliate my skin at least twice a week. Body and face scrubs are perfect for this type of treatment, and they’ll leave the skin fresh, plump and fabulous.

Have a Facial Massage

When I want to relax and improve the natural glow of my skin, as well as reduce some redness and puffiness I like to do a facial massage. I take a bit of oil for dry skin on my fingers and apply it to my face in upward motions. Then, I take a palm of my hand, place it against my forehead and rub in circles with firm pressure. When I feel tension between the eyebrows, I pinch the area to relieve the tension. Later I like to massage the outlines of the cheekbones in circular motions, and then tap lightly on the surface of the entire face. This is also a perfect treatment for reducing wrinkles.

Diet and fitness

This is a very important aspect of feeling young and fresh. A healthy, balanced diet combined with drinking a lot of water, and on top of it all, maintaining a fitness routine, is a step that is absolutely necessary in this process. There are many physical activities that can be great for you: jogging, hiking, swimming, yoga, pilates, zumba, dancing – or even just hitting the gym. I know many girls and women fear that the gym might make them bulky and too muscular, but that’s a myth that has been debunked a long time ago – if done properly, lifting weights can be beneficial for women, without damaging their feminine built! In conclusion, there are many  activities to choose from, go for the one you like the most and stick to it.  

Final Thoughts

If you want to look and feel younger, your skin will have to be in perfect condition. Only when I’ve started moisturizing, exfoliating, and had a regular massage, did I notice that my skin was slowly becoming more beautiful and younger-looking.
